I just got certified recently, and I am thinking of buying equipment, namely, a regulator, there are so many different kinds, and models, I am not really where to start. Does anyone recommend a certain one?? Or any imput on what type I shoud look at?
    Thanks

I own mostly aqualung gear and have foud their regulators to be some of the best. If you have the money, go with a legend or any of the Apeks regulators. mares, scubapro, dive rite, and atomic also make great regs. So with that in mind, it is probably best to go with a regulator that can be serviced by any of your local dive shops.

Yeah, def get one that your local dive shop can service. I know ppl that thought they were getting a great deal off the internet but then their local dive store can't service it so they have to send it out. Most of the good stores around me let divers try breathing on the regs and some even have pools where you can demo them first. This is a big factor as some regs breath easier than others. It also depends on the type of diving you are going to be using it for. Like for instance, I read all these good things about this Posiden reg but it turns out it's not good for doing beach dives (which is what I mostly do). Do research and read. Write me back if you have more questions.
