PADI Certificate

I got my PADI certificate a couple of years ago, unfortunately I have since lost my certificate card or ID card or whatever its called - the credit card thing that was sent from PADI in Frenchs Forest in Sydney...

I remember that when I got my card my last name was spelled wrong, but not 100% sure what was the mistake, since I didn't use it for a while - too busy working...

I actually DID email to PADI in Sydney to try to find a solution but never heard a word from them..!!

Now that I recently relocated to live in Thailand I am very eager to go diving a lot more, but without a license I am forced to do everything again, which I am not keen to do, obviously..!

If somebody knows how I can proceed (I heard that some PADI divecenters have a database..?) in order to figure out first the spelling mistake and then how to get a new license - I would be very grateful..!!!

I took the license from Scandinavian Divers in Phuket in conjunction with a liveaboard to Similar that was organised by Andaman Divers, I believe it was a Swedish girl who certified me, she was a divemaster on the liveaboard and actually employed by Andaman Divers, as I recall.

Anyway - help would be highly appreciated...

Contact Yvonne Lara, Lead Research Coordinator, PADI Americas. 1-800-729-7234 (ext 2296) or FAX 949-858-7729. She was most helpful when I wanted to update my card and especially the photo on mine from 30+ years ago. Probably can resolve your issue or, perhaps, steer you in the correct direction.
