I may be doing some photo work at 50 foot depth in limited vis conditions. What is the best way to get good results when photographing stationary features such as wrecks?

You need to get close. Very close. The best way to handle this is with a very wide angle, close focusing lens, like a Tokina 10-17mm fisheye. Expensive, though.
